Our home is our castle. It's also our little piece of heaven.
We used to enjoy quiet country evenings with our dog, watching the different birds who come to visit the feeders. But now we don't have any such thing as a quiet evening! (we have a very active 4 -year-old boy) Our garden and flower beds are sometimes a source of therapy for us, and sometimes a source of great frustration! :-) (by the way, our flower beds don't look like this anymore! we are in the process of shrinking the size, so all the flowers are in a temporary bed, and we have a great crop of weeds growing where they used to be!)
Looking forward to lots and lots of strawberries from our patch this summer!

This is little Annie Mae (officially, Hawk's Annie Mae). She is our 50-pound bundle of fluff and love and energy. She was a rescue dog - a mixed breed of Golden Retriever and Collie, or so we're told. She is such a lover and snuggler! We think she is about 12 years old - that makes her a senior citizen in human years! Annie is an active therapy dog, visiting nursing homes and participating in special programs.
